Bhoojal Survey provides consultancy services for getting Renewal of NOC from CGWA NOC obtained from CGWA has an expiry period. It is mandatory to file renewal of NOC through NOCAP portal before expiry of NOC.
IF an industry / Infrastructure project fails to file NOC renewal within expiry period it may face penalty in the form of illegal withdrawal of ground water and environment compensation. Renewal window opens 90 days prior to expiry of NOC. Application fees of 5000/- Rs along with advance payment of ground water abstraction charges are required to be paid for renewal process.

Some major List of documents required for getting renewal of NOC from CGWA or Extending validity period of NOC
- Affidavit on compliance of NOC conditions for renewal cases, in case of water requirement is less than 100 KLD
- Photographs of Installed flow meter, pizometer and Rainwater harvesting structures
- Water audit report if water requirement is more than 100 KL per Day
- Impact Assessment report if water requirement is more than 100 KL per day
- Pre monsoon and Post monsoon ground water test report
- Water level record

Ground water demand can be increased / decreased as per requirement of proponent at the time of filing of renewal of NOC from CGWA.
After careful examination of the documents presented by the applicant, the Central Ground Water Board issues renewal of NOC. NOCAP is the name of the online application submission method. Renewal of NOC shall be issued for the period as per assessment unit category and type of water use as mentioned below

Will it be allowed to apply for renewal after validity expiry of NOC?
Yes, but the project proponent shall be liable to pay environmental compensation for the period starting from the date of expiry of NOC, till NOC is renewed by the competent authority.
